In his own wordsIn my experience, the word yoga defines an experience wherein awareness and consciousness unite to form a whole. Whether this union be found in asana, meditation or playing a musical instrument is unimportant. What is important is the individual's felt experience. For me, the experience on the mat feels like a refuge. A place of safety where I can spend time with myself in all manor of emotions and attitudes without judgment. A place I come each day to find serenity, understanding and self acceptance. In this state of Yoga I find space to organize and make sense of my experiences in the world. This is my Yoga. Community InvolvementBrad is currently working towards his black belt in Hung Gar Wu Shu at the Golden Tiger School of Martial Arts.
