Meditation

Meditation is a way of looking deep within ourselves to develop insight into our being.

Through meditation we gain the ability to observe the habit patterns of our mind. We learn how to change negative patterns into positive ones, bringing ourselves towards a state of peace and happiness.

You will learn various meditation techniques, from simple breath awareness practice, to in-depth visualization practices.

We will cover not only the mental aspects of meditation, but also the physical and environmental factors that are involved in the practice.

Intro to Meditation is for those with no meditation experience, or if you have been away from your practice for a while.

Meditation Continued is for students who have completed a formal introductory meditation course, and who have at least a fairly regular sitting practice. In this class we will be looking at deeper and more subtle obstacles to meditation, as well as learning new meditation tecniques and practices. Homework assignments and meditations will be given each week, and students will be required to do some reading.
